Sleep, as we all know, is one of the most vital aspects of life. I love to sleep, I mean who doesn't? Sleep is vital, to replenish your body, heal your cells and reenergize you.
Too much sleep is not good as well, one will feel lousy and tired with too much sleep. Less sleep is even more harmful. Being at Bschool, I've seen many people going sleepless for many nights, thankfully I've not done that. I make sure to sleep 3-4 hrs at any cost, even during emergency 🤣...
Typically 5-7 hrs sleep is sufficient depending on your body's sleep cycle. I've heard my friends complaining that they cannot sleep even when they lay on their beds for hours. I've had that phase during high school, I used one trick to bring back to track, but I've discovered more ways which I'll discuss below for your benefit.
1. Deep Breathing - This was my saviour, even without being exposed to meditation, therapy, my body somehow self discovered this technique, when I would realised I am not able to sleep for long, I started to breath deeply and slowly, it automatically calmed the nervous system and eventually put me into sleep. One can even try meditation, yoga nidra too. Forget all worries, focus on breath, breathe deeply slowly. Worries can wait, sleep can't.
2. Use ASMRs :
Discovered this recently, especially this video helps me sleep fast. You can keep your phone aside, start looking at the video and hear it, gradually your eyes will fell heavy and you ll fall asleep.
3. Using sleep music:
These soothing nature sounds and music instruments can calm down your mind and help you sleep well.
Never compromise on food and sleep. Eat healthy, Sleep healthy. Take care of yourself. Because you should.
