In Iyengars, Krishna Janmashtami has always been the most grandiose celebration of all the festivals. So from childhood,it has been a very exciting day to me every year. So many varieties of food,so many practices... totally delightful and full of happiness.
My proper encounter dates back to 3/4 th grade where Krishna series from Birth to Kamsvadh was being telecasted on cartoon network. Yes cartoon network has been a great part of my spiritual enlightenment,be it Ramayan film, Mahabharat,Ganesha stories..etc.
So there came this cute lad,who stole all our hearts in one go,the Makhanchor what they call, always steals the heart 😝..Also referred to as Heartthrob , the animators pictured him at the best. I was really intrigued by the series,how he fought all the demons, how he was loved by all. Major part when he met Radha when she came to Gokul and when all of Krishna's people shifted to Brindavan ,all because of Krishna's wish to be with the love of his life, Radha Raani. I mean ,I was swept from the floor. Their love made me fall in love with Kaanha. Then came the phase of teenage Krishna, where they drew him so handsomely, I was fully attracted to his out of the world appearance and beauty. Heart skipped a beat or two each time I saw him. But love is when inner beauty is experienced. I had fallen in love, and now Krishna was my favourite God in the world. I started giving special attention to His stories,learnt more about Ramayan , Mahabharat, about various Gods and Goddesses. This was the beginning of my never ending journey to explore the Divinity and it's bliss.
Why would I do it all u may ask... why wouldn't I ? Why should not anyone?
It's the purpose of Human birth, knowing the Divine abode ,live a spiritual life and attain moksha, not as simple as it sounds tho...
Krishna has blessed me all that I asked for, yeah some might not have been given ,may be because it was not good for me,I would like to believe that please... because the immense blessings that He has showered upon me ,makes me neglect all those small inadequencies. We usually tend to crib on the lackings in life, but if we look into it clearly,we are blessed beyond our worth...
Karuna Sagar is my Guruvairappa, the easily impressed is my Bholenaath...I fall short of vocab in quest to describe the Eternality, my Maadhavaaa... Madhusudanaa
I later started watching a serial called Krishna Rukmani,which had nothing to do with the Gods,but it was enough to make me fall in more love with Maadhava. The hero was pictured that way,the way he loved his wife was out of the world.
Later came Devi serial,my bhakti raised to higher extents ,now towards Goddesses Durga too. May be start of spiritual journey was from 4 th std...major knowledge during high school,more than that during Engineering, Shrimad Bhagavad mahapuran serial came, and I was just so happy to have been born in this birth and to have known my Gods this way. Nothing can describe this wonderful feeling. I cannot myself.
Radha Krishna serial which became very popular was my biggest Epiphany towards the greatness of Radha Raani,none can love Krishna as much as her,,when people sometimes called me Radha for being Krishna devotee,I ,who was a fool,unaware of Her eminence, was telling them to call me Rukmani instead as she was married,I cannot be a greater fool ,but this serial made me realise, Radha Rani,who is the soul of Krishna himself is the greatest lover of Krishna,none can surpass her...I love her too now , thanks a zillion to that serial...
Radhe is success, Radhe is love,only through her,can we reach Krishna 💕❤️
Spirituality is something that can be understood only through experience.
I'm also blessed and proud to have played as Krishna in my dance in 9th grade, I felt so happy,no words can emphasize it..
I was also gifted a Krishna picture by my english teacher,Ahmed sir, don't know who told him I was a Krishna devotee 😁,I feel proud to be recognised as one ,as whole school did.. grateful,that's the tweet😘
I feel so sorry for those who haven't explored yet and would urge them to do so. Praise the Lord ,be Thankful,be Grateful for the wonderful life He has bestowed with you. Irrespective of what Gods u like,start experiencing this magnificence. Civilization given to us in this birth of Human is the greatest way to attain the Divinity,no other creatures can explore as much as Humans,so live gratefully.
