1. If its not forever its not Love - Romantic Novel

Read a fiction aft almost a year. Refreshing novel by Novel by Durjoy Datta and Nikita Singh, coincidentally it's a love story based on bomb blast. I've always read foreign author's romance, my first one of Indian. Stark difference for sure. Those were quite steamy and interesting. This one had depth. Coming to the plot, it has a story within a story, read from a diary found in the blast. Ah, I love dairy writing, was writing one myself in childhood. Two parallel stories, connected in some way. One is lusty yet lovely and deep. The other is the purest form of love, single sided, yet so heart touching. Started off a bit boring but later development was quite gripping, the twists towards the climax was unexpected yet much needed. All and all a lovely story...

2. Think Straight- Self Help

Think Straight by Darius Foroux, makes a clear cut point, Dont think, Do, that's the last line of the book, and my favourite. It gives you solution for various issues that may clutter your brain, starting from writing down your thoughts, scribbling it, drawing it and more..For negative thoughts, he says, Stop thinking by telling your thoughts you don't control me, duh! He also emphasizes on power of thoughts, Thoughts should serve a purpose, Cogito ergo sum, I think therefore I am. Its all about deciding on how to feel, irrespective of thoughts, it's hard, but we rather not let it remain, with practice, what not can be achieved.Somevother highlights, Dont ask why after a mistake,  Reflect by journaling, Become aware of thought, observe and let go where needed. Look back at life, but don't state for long, Life happens now. A good quick read. Helps in reinforcing clarity of thoughts.

3Don't Believe Everything You Think - Self help

Joseph Nguyen's book is one of those rare non-fiction that I could read at any time and mood, usually happens with fiction for me, I just pick it up and cant drop it until I read the climax. This book  delivers a compelling and complete paradigm shift: thinking is the root cause of all psychological suffering, not external circumstances. The central, liberating truth is that love, joy, and peace are our natural, effortless default state, only blocked by the volume of thought.
The key to accessing this peace is achieving Mushin, a mind free of random thoughts, which is the state of effortless flow where anxiety is thought without control and flow is control without thought. The practical technique is to take a thirty to sixty second pause and trust that required insight will arise, as active thought hinders performance.

Negative feelings are reframed as an indication of misunderstanding, a simple forgetfulness of the ephemeral nature of the thoughts we are believing. Profound, effortless change requires creating the Great Nothingness, as new, transformative divine downloads have no space to emerge in a mind full of old thinking. The process is clear: surrender all manual thinking, acknowledge thinking as the source of discomfort, and place complete faith in your inner wisdom, or Infinite Intelligence, letting go of the questions of how and when the solution will arrive, as exemplified by great thinkers like Thomas Edison. The most affirming and enduring lesson is the truth of inherent fulfillment: everything you could possibly ever want and need is already inside of you. We are already all of the love, joy, and peace we seek; the external world's advertising of lack is a lie. The ultimate goal is simply to continue to live in this state of pure peace, allowing passing thoughts to go without attachment, which results in a glowing, vibrant being that inspires others by example. Best line : The unknown is where all the possibilities exist...Made me realize, no point to fear in life.

4. The Game of Life and How  to play it- Non fiction

Florence Scovel Shinn helped change my mindset for some extent on how we see life. She redefines existence, noting that "Most people consider life a battle, but it is not a battle, it is a game." Success in this "game" is entirely dependent upon internal mastery, asserting that "You can control any situation if you first control yourself." The text details the Law of Attraction's mechanism, stating that "Man can only receive what he sees himself receiving." This is because "Whatever man feels deeply or images clearly, is impressed upon the subconscious mind, and carried out in minutest detail." A key warning is that the "The subconscious mind has no sense of humor and people often joke themselves into unhappy experiences." Therefore, all manifestation must begin by ensuring "fear must be erased from the consciousness." Furthermore, the book reminds us to "live fully in the now," since "The robbers of time are the past and the future."

Shinn places enormous emphasis on the spiritual power of language, advising that man should only use his words to "heal, bless or prosper." She explains that negative judgment brings a boomerang effect, stating that "What man condemns in others, he attracts to himself," and "What man says of others will be said of him, and what he wishes for another, he is wishing for himself." Proactive faith is also required, commanding that "Man must prepare for the thing he has asked for, when there isn't the slightest sign of it in sight." This faith extends to finances: "Bills should be paid cheerfully, all money should be sent forth fearlessly and with a blessing." The text encourages making a daily habit of affirmations, such as: "Make an affirmation immediately upon waking... miracle shall follow miracle and wonders shall never cease." Ultimately, this power is grounded in cosmic law, reminding the reader of the foundational principle: "Ask, and it shall be given you, seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (Mat. 7:7)."
